Thanks to Andy Goodliff for drawing my attention to two new and potentially substantial blogs.
Swords To Plowshares is the blog of PhD candidate in theology and “ex-musician” Scott Prather. Scott is writing on theology, politics, film, art and culture. Moreover, he is working udner the supervision of an ex-King’s colleague, Brian Brock, who is one of the sharpest theological thinkers I’ve met and about whom I’ve written before.
Living Wittily is the blog of Jim Gordon, Principal of the Scottish Baptist College. Jim’s two posts on “community theologians (here and here) are stimulating and encouraging. It’s an idea I’ve believed in for a long time, typically calling them “theologians-in-residence.” I’ve blogged aroudn the idea a couple of times (here and here), but it’s something I end up pondering regularly.
Both of these blogs have been running for six months or less and have only a dozen or so incoming links each. That qualifies them for NewTailBlog status. I’ve added them to both my reader and my blogroll and I hope you take the time to check them out.
