Today I Deleted A Comment

I had a comment sitting in the awaiting moderation cue of this blog for well over a year. These days I’m loathe to delete any comments other than outright Spam. Over the years I’ve deleted too any comments on the grounds of being “offensive” that actually condemned their own authors (and by extension supported some of my arguments).

But, this comment made direct accusations about someone mentioned on this blog and whilst some of the allegation may have had an element of truth, in the absence of working email I could not confirm them with the commentator.

That said, having the email sitting there was creating it’s own emotional weight. So I’ve decided to delete.
