After a bit of tweaking I’ve arrived at an interim blog layout that might just have to do for a month or so. The skeleton is there for the kind of design that will be needed to fit all the features I want on this website.

In particular, I’m interested in the idea of an ‘interlinked web presence’ as suggested in this thoughtful study. As a rough outline, these are some of the features I want to implement.

Easier access to Soundcloud, including the dropbox facility
More pages to provide examples of and details about my work
Faster and easier navigation around the blog
Simplification of the categories structure
Consistent design ethos
Better typography
Better use of images, either through flickr or embedded slideshows

That’s it for now. I’ve got quite a few things rolling around at the moment, so the amount of time I can dedicate to this is limited. Expect more changes in the coming weeks.

Looks cool Fern.

FWIW I couldn’t open the comments for your ‘crayons’ post, but that might just be a temporary glitch.

BTW no criticism, but the links from the studio page sometimes go to some odd places, and apparently you’re using a Fedner HM strat. Can I suggest it might be good if clicking a link opened a new tab.

I like it – clean and simple. However, I do miss the cool banner photos.

And Toni is just jealous because he doesn’t have a Fedner.

Teh Fedner Roxx!

Seriously, though, the pages are next on my hitlist! And, the banner photos will make a comeback, but maybe not till the new year.
