Facebook To Include Artist-Specific Resources

According to AppleInsider, Facebook is set to include a number of features specifically geared towards musicians and music promoters, including the ability to purchase music from iTunes through the site. Sounds promising. [tags] Facebook, iTunes [/tags]

I was wondering when that’d happen. Facebook has reached the point where the commercialization aspects and potential of it are quite interesting. I hope they are careful about how they implement features like this – though this sounds like a positive move.

Steve – Thus far Facebook have done a decent job of retaining the minimalist look of the pages, which is a stark contrast to the ultra-ugly MySpace ethos of “design-it-yourself.” It’s in their interests not to break that.
