Yes, we did feel the earthquake yesterday. It was slight and nowhere near as pronounced as the much closer quake in September.

But, one unexpected consequence is a massive disruption to internet services here in Hong Kong. Apparently a major submarine cable has been cut, leaving communications problems for both internet and telephony.

Steve, it is still patchy, but getting better everyday. Apparently 7 of 8 main submaraine cables were disrupted.

Toni – thanks. I guess it was one of those tragedies that was big enough to cause mass disruption, but not bad enough to provoke the news media to broad coverage.
