About once a month I make a little time to look at the statstics for this blog. I’m pleased that the readership is steadily growing, that more people on commenting and emailing me (though the email numbers are still a lot greater than the comments). The geographical diversity of the blog’s readership is increasing and it looks like the people who visit this blog are reading more posts while they are here. All good news.

On a personal level I’m enthusiastic that I now have a more steady internet connection, the chance to blog more often and read more blogs in response. I feel like the content on this site is a little richer and a lot more topical than a year ago. The blog is not perfect, but getting better.

However, my technorati ranking keeps falling. I’m not worried about that, I don’t blog for the ranking and my focus is just too narrow for this blog to ever be a massive hit. It’s just a curious pheonomenon that the ranking is moving in the opposite direction to the other indicators of the blog’s health.
