I’m progressively less and less a fan of watching television and in a way wish I was less into football and movies, because then I could do without having a TV in my home.

The night before we flew out I decided to switch on the TV and watch some comedies as a way to unwind. The first show was Will and Grace (not a favourite) and low and behold one of the characters had to face the death of a parent with a heart attack. The following show was Sex and the City (kind of a favourite) and the same plot twist was entwined into the narrative (though not surprisingly with more maturity and depth).
I switched off and headed for a book instead…
