IN the light of reading a lot about church communities over the last week, I have been pondering again the Shakers. Certainly for me, visiting Hancock Shaker Village in the fall of 2000 was a powerful and moving experience. Maybe these recent thoughts also coalesce with a desire to take on some woodworking projects.
