The BBC’s on this day link recalls a Plane Disaster in 1974. This got me wondering as to the effect of the news of these disasters on my generation, since so many of the worst passenger aviation disaasters occoured from the mid 70s to the late 80s with many of these on the ill-fated DC-10.
