Hugh MacLeod’s latest cartoon brilliantly captures why great ideas always struggle to gain acceptance.
Hugh MacLeod has nailed it with this one. Great ideas don’t simply gain acceptance because they are great. In fact, the genius of a good idea always creates resistance because any really good idea will upset the status quo and accepted or comfortable ways of doing things.
This idea originally appeared in the opening paragraph of Hugh’s 31 point manifesto “How To Be Creative.” There are so many good ideas in there. Do yourself a favor and read it now.
