Blogfast: Holiday By Any Other Terms

Of course that’s not really a blogfast – it’s a holiday. I’ve always struggled with what to do about the blog when taking a break; it can be rewarding to read people’s travel/holiday experiences. But doing that doesn’t really work for me, I find I need the mental break every few months and typically I holiday away (a long way away) from computers.

I’m packing two books for the trip, The Battle for Spain: The Spanish Civil War 1936-1939 by Antony Beevor and The Parallax View by Slavoj Zizek. I’m also taking a small stash of new CDs and DVDs. So, you can expect a steady stream of reviews in April.

I’d like to take this opportunity to thank all of you reading this blog and extend my hope that you all have an inspirational and rewarding Easter in whatever way you choose to celebrate it.

Thanks Fern – enjoy the break.

FWIW the last time I went away properly (Gran Canaria) I had to buy a notepad and spent between 30 mins and an hour a day writing down my thoughts. There was no other outlet, and they wouldn’t leave me alone. Virtually none of my ‘substitute blog’ writing made it to TBOTAM: once the moment has passed then I tend to let things go.
