At the end of 2004 this blog was averaging 1300 or so unique visits a month. However, the numbers grew steadily throughout 2005 to a total of 76319 unique visits for the year. Blogs are relational things and this growth in traffic is largely the result of other bloggers taking the time to link to this site, comment on things that have been posted here, or host discussions in which I have played some role.
So it seems appropriate to take some time to recognise the blogs that have, over the course of 2005, generated the most traffic for this blog. They are,
The Blog of the Ancient Mariner
The Emmaus Theory
Jonny Baker Blog
TheBolgBlog
Urban Onramps
Tensegrities
Eclectic Itchings
Charles Statman
Signposts
Jason Clark
Thank you for your linkage and thanks to everyone else who has picked up on this blog over the year.
