There is a fascinating interview with George Barna about his latest book Revolution over at the site of one Sid Roth (I’m not quite sure what the deal is with Roth’s Messianic Vision and I”m not endorsing his worldview, just in case). The points Barna makes are not news to those with an interest in theology and culture, or more generally the Emerging Church movement.
However, it is interesting to hear Barna discussing this with someone who clearly has a more conservative and reactionary outlook towards culture. Early on Barna corrects Roth, when the later wants to claim that the current generation of “young people” have an unprecedented lack of interest in faith. Barna manages to be far more polite that I would have been at mention of that hoary untruth. Take a listen and feel free to post some comments here.
