One of the things that is never far from my desk is a file with the most important (to me at least) lectures, seminars and sermons I have delivered, as well as a few that never made the light of day.
One that I often find myself considering is an in-service teacher training seminar I should have given 5 years ago this week (February 9, 2001). It was on the use of Film in the Religious Education classroom. There was a scheduling clash which meant the seminar did not happen.
The topic seems like such a given now, but I can remember at that time the connections between Film and Theology were far less clear to many fellow academics and flatly rejected by more than a few senior figures.
