iPhoning

OK, call me a craven consumer if you must, but this is my first post from the iPhone. It might not be the convergence device of my dreams but i’m still impressed.

You ARE a craven consumer…
… and I’m writing this comment from my iPhone. 😉

Ahhh… do you remember the days when I was trying to persuade you that it would be good to join the ranks of applephiles? You have learnt well young grasshopper…

I should change my name to green! I *SUPPOSE* I can wait until November when my current contract is up – but dang, I want the shiny!

It’s fast approaching a decade since I switched and it was a very good move indeed.

What I’ve been thinking about *a lot* this week was that my most productive time as a writer was when I had a tight integration between Palm and Mac (OS9) together with a liberal use of paper and pen. I don’t think the technology is much help if one can’t implement a good system (diary, planning or contacts), but if integrated well it can help manage a system.

The next big thing for me is to decide whether to move my GTD process onto the iPhone (with OmniFocus, for example). I love the idea of GPS giving me context specific action lists (although I live directly above my supermarket, so it might not work for shopping!). I’m still not sure about that.

But, blogging from the iPhone – no brainer!
