Yes folks the blog is alive once again (and I’m resisting the urge to rename it “Lazarus’ Desk”). The transfer to a new server didn’t go smoothly but everything seems fine now. Having played with a cool new layout for a week, I’ve decided to go back to the simple BareCity theme. There are one or two small tweaks I still want to make with this, but I’m committed to a clean, text oriented interface for the blog. No multicolour social networking buttons or wildly overpopulated sidebars for me.
The transfer downtime means a few blog-worthy items were missed. The Hong Kong Arts Festival has started, so there a few performances to review. I’ve almost finished the migration and set-up of the Mac Pro (together with picking up an Apogee Duet and installing Aperture).
This week I’m knee deep in samples and loops, enjoying having them all on one fast drive in a responsive machine. The ReCycle update (now Mactel multi-core compliant) couldn’t have been better timed for me. Tomorrow is the first day of the Chanel Mobile art exhibition tomorrow (we’ve been watching it being built everyday – amazing). Thursday is Ornette Coleman in concert and Saturday we are seeing Zingaro.
