Another New Year’s…
It’s been a very unusual sort of Christmastide, with in-laws visiting and a different feel to other Christmases. I’ve not blogged over the last few days, but spent a lot of time thinking about where I would like this blog to go (even two days when I had almost decided to quit blogging). I’ll unpack some of those plans over the next few posts.
But, more than that, it’s been a Christmas where I have had a lot of time to think about questions of identity, nationhood and simply how we choose to spend our time, craft our careers and choose our relationships. There’s plenty more to unpack there.
Finally, I have decided that this year I will go back to daily journalling. It’s a habit I gave up when I started blogging again, but the fact is that for me a blog and a journal are two very different things. Blogging is great, but there are thoughts, observations and emotions that are best contained and processed in a journal. Like, how I felt about seeing two very famous Bollywood stars walking around IFC this afternoon…
