Emerging Parents

New blog alert – Emerging Parents is a new, multi-author blog dealing with issues of parenting and children’s ministry for those interested in the emerging church. Some of the contributors will be familiar to regular readers of this blog.

As I’ve mentioned before, the role of children is one of the biggest (and maybe the biggest) practical challenge facing the emerging and missional churches. Whilst I remain fairly sceptical of programmatic youth ministry, children’s ministry is something that many conventional churches still manage to do quite well. That presents a real challenge for parents as they decide on their church involvement.

Looking forward to seeing how the Emerging Parents blog grows and develops.
