Four years ago today, my daughter was born. I remember standing at the window of a top floor operating theatre (Chelsea and Westminster), holding her for the very first time. It was a glorious London summer’s morning and I recall pointing out various important landmarks (there’s our house, there’s Stamford Bridge, there’s our church, etc). Back then I would never have realised that we would celebrate her second birthday in India (and now her fourth), but more significantly, I was unaware of how much joy, surprise and wonder she would bring to my life.
