A while back I commented on difficulties of finding a “reader-oriented” Bible and even speculated about making my own Bible. On the first point, I’ve yet to personally find something that fits the bill and on the second point, well copyright is not always a wonderful thing. Of course, I can always do my own translation, but something in me feels uncomfortable with going that far.
If you look at this Wall Street Journal article, you get a feeling for what I’m looking for. Bible Illuminated is Swedish project and if you can look beyond the edgy graphics, you can hopefully see something smart and engaging going on in the formatting. It’s exactly the sort of thing I’m looking for.
