The trees around my home in Tokyo shed their leaves in Spring. It’s an odd sensation, to walk on dry leaves just as the days are noticeably starting to become longer and warmer. They don’t shed all their leaves, but enough to deposit a solid carpet outside my office, enough to make for a noticeable increase the gardener’s weekly workload.
