Photography

Pho­to­graphy has always been a hobby, but in late 2009 I decided to get more ser­i­ous with the stor­ies I told through images.

This involved taking one on one les­sons with a top local pho­to­grapher and shoot­ing a lot of photos. It also involved apply­ing the same rigor, in terms of work­flow and under­stand­ing that I’ve applied to com­puter based music pro­duc­tion, to my photography.

This year I’ve been able to shoot in Aus­tralia, Cam­bodia and Hong Kong, where I live. In coming year I will return to Aus­tralia, as well as shoot­ing in China, India, Japan and Taiwan. My photos have been used by AOL, CNNgo and TimeOut Hong Kong and I’ve ful­filled a small number of private com­mis­sions for por­trait and life­style images.

I’m also an occa­sional con­trib­utor to HKPhotographer.net.

All the photos on this site are my own work. The larger images are taken with a Nikon D50, the thumb­nails with an iPhone. Below are a few photos I’ve taken in the last year.
