The Church You Know (via Rodd Jefferson) – Rodd linked the excellent vignette on worship leading, but I found the one above on tithing even more cutting and thought-provoking (warning – videos not suitable for those who do not underadnst the educational value of satire).

Patti LaBelle, Chrysler Team On Church Tour (via Mattopia) – “Chrysler Group’s new luxury SUV, the Aspen, is the opening act for Patti LaBelle’s 14-city tour of urban mega-churches.”

Shut-Up And Sing Censored Posters – Peter Chattaway reflects on the subtle changes to the poster for this documentary on politics and the career of the Dixie Chicks (one I’m keen to see).

India’s Weapon: Its Diaspora – Well said, but a lot more needs to be written on this. The question on my lips is what role will the NRI disapora play in building better common services and infrastructure as well as improving the social contract?

Resources For Biblical Studies – Excellent links and very timely as I’m preparing my personal study plans for 2007!

The Money-Back Guaranteed Tithe – I guess it had to happen eventually.

Transumers – Fascinating study on the relationship between marketing, consumption and experience.

Fewer Friends – “A study has revealed that Brits have fewer friends but more acquaintances than they did ten years ago and only one-in-ten communicate with their neighbours. The research commissioned by T-Mobile shows that whilst new technologies have created a range of methods to stay in touch, it‚Äôs the over-50s who use email more than any other age group to contact friends.”

Paul Washer Interview (via Convergent Cafe) – It’s been a long time since I’ve heard an out and out Puritan discussion of faith and the Gospel and I have to say it was surprisingly refreshing. I’m not completely there with Washer, but there is certainly something in his message I have been missing.

Yash Raj Films New Studio – Fantasic looking studio for the produciton of Bollywood film scores and music.
