Seven Things Religious Media Professionals Must Do In 2007

Phil Cooke has an excellent blog, as well as being “…the only working producer in Hollywood with a Ph.D. in Theology.” I was reminded today of how good Phil’s blog was when reading Steve Knight’s enthusiastic response to being linked to Phil’s blogroll. I’ve only been reading Phil’s blog for a few weeks really, but it has fast become a-list material for me.

Phil has a list of seven priorities for religious media professionals that stands out as print and keep material.

1. Start the project you’ve always dreamed of creating.
2. Understand the power of a compelling brand.
3. Carry a small notebook and pen everywhere you go.
4. Read more novels.
5. Spend less time on what’s urgent and more time on what matters.
6. Go HD.
7. Remember the reasons you chose this career.

That’s it in point form, but check out the blog for the detail, it’s worth a visit.

“The most valuable asset you have right now isn‚Äôt money, it‚Äôs time. Time is the currency of the most successful people in the world, and you can always identify influential leaders by how they value their time.”

Phil’s blog is my first blogroll addition/change and NewTailBlog for for 2007.
